Committed as they are, the HCAC then launched the Gyaan Jyoti initiative on 14th November, looking at the sheer lack of learning, literacy and basic education in India. To help improve access and quality education, a dedicated team of 7-8 members selected based on google form responses set out to conduct research on this issue. Two municipal schools were adopted and workshops were conducted for educating underprivileged children. Volunteers who could not be a part of the main leadership team due to time restraints were called on for helping in specific tasks as and when needed. This project may not have brought a very monumental change in our society, but it enlightened the future of several deprived children.
